Wolverine from the animated series celebrates his return for the Disney + awakening

X-Men: The Animated Series ‘Wolverine, Cal Dodd, celebrates returning to the booth for Disney +’ s next revival, X-Men ’97.

X-Men: The Animated Series Alum Cal Dodd is officially back in the booth of the next Disney + revival series, X-Men ’97.

At Twitter, Dodd – who voiced James “Logan” Howlett / Wolverine in X-Men: The Animated Series – shared a photo of him in a check-in booth. Dodd wears a black and yellow college-style jacket, embroidered with the name “Logan” on the chest, and holding three fingers, apparently to represent Wolvie’s three claws. “Guess what I was doing in the studio today? he wrote. “It’s great to be back !!! #Wolverine #DisneyPlus #Xmen # XMen97 #XMenTAS.”

On November 12, the day of Disney +, Marvel Studios officially announced X-Men ’97, an original Disney + animated series that extends the fan favorite X-Men: The Animated Series, which itself aired on Fox Kids for five seasons from 1992 to 1997. Its premiere is scheduled for 2023, X-Men ’97 features many of the returning cast members of X-Men: The Animated Series, Dodd included. Dodd voiced Wolverine in all five seasons of the series, appearing in 73 of its 76 episodes.

As part of a crossover, Dodd also voiced Logan in two episodes of Fox Kids’ Spider-Man: The Animated Series in 1995. In addition, he provided the voice of Wolverine in several Marvel video games from 1994 to 2000, namely X-Men: children of the atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, X-Men Cartoon Creator, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom: Superhero Clash and Marvel vs Capcom 2: the new age of heroes. In addition to Wolverine, Dodd has also voiced the characters of Bobby Drake / Iceman and Steve Rogers / Captain America in several of the aforementioned video games.

In addition to Dodd, X-Men ’97 should include feedback from a colleague X-Men: The Animated Series alums Lenore Zann as Anna Marie / Rogue, George Buza as Hank McCoy / Beast, Adrian Hough as Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler, Christopher Britton as Nathaniel Essex / Mister Sinister, Catherine Disher as Jean Gray, Chris Potter as Remy LeBeau / Gambit, Alison Sealy -Smith as Ororo Munroe / Storm and Alyson Court as Jubilation Lee / Jubilee.

The cover series also features a number of newcomers in the form of Jennifer Hale, Anniwaa Buachie, Ray Chase, Matthew Waterson, JP Karliak, Holly Chou, Jeff Bennett, AJ LoCascio.
