Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy confirms season two in new trailer

With its first season recently completed, a new trailer for Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy heralds a season 2 for the alternate world anime.

With the first season of Tsukimichi Fantasy in the moonlight ending on September 22, a second season for the alternate world, the fantasy anime has already been confirmed and a trailer has been released.

The original light novel series of the same name by Kei Azumi and Mitsuaki Matsumoto was first published online in 2012 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, before moving to the AlphaPolis website in 2016. A total of fifteen volumes of content published since 2013.

Tsukimichi Moonlight Fantasy the story follows protagonist Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school student who is suddenly transported to another world to become a hero; however, he is stripped of the title and cast into the wilderness at the edge of the world because he does not meet the expectations of the goddess. Eventually, it is revealed that Makoto is able to unleash unimaginable magical and combat abilities, and using his newfound powers, he strives to make the world a better place despite the rejection of the gods.

Tsukimichi Fantasy in the moonlight has gained a significant number of fans, with 1.4 million copies currently in circulation, and it has inspired multiple adaptations. A Kotora Kino manga series has been in progress since 2015, and the ninth volume was released by AlphaPolis on July 9. The anime adaptation premiered July 7 on Tokyo MX and other channels in Japan, licensed to Crunchyroll and streaming the show outside of Asia. The show is currently available in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.

C2C animation studio (Wandering Witch: Elaina’s Journey, Shachibato! President, it’s time for battle!) hosted the series’ first season with Shinji Ishihira (Edens Zero, Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table) as Chief Director, Kenta Ihara (Cautious hero: the hero is overpowered but too cautious, Vinland Saga) supervising and writing the scripts, Yukie Suzuki (Battle League: Gear Gadget Generators, Blue exorcist) adapting the original character designs of Matsumoto and Yasuhara Takanashi (Destiny / Grand Carnival, Beyblade D Revolution) compose the music. It is not yet known if the same creative team will be involved in the second season.

Currently, there is no date information for Season 2 of Tsukimichi Fantasy in the moonlight will premiere, but season 1 of the anime can be streamed on Crunchyroll, Medialink, and the Ani-One YouTube channel through its Ani-One Ultra subscription.
