This is what happened to H. Jon Benjamin after “Archer”

Whenever people talk about the best actors in the world, it’s people like Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Dwayne Johnson, Sofia Vergara, and Vin Diesel who keep coming back. Of course, given that these people are some of the highest paid actors in the world and have been all red carpet mainstays for years, that makes perfect sense. However, there is a whole group of performers who are largely ignored even though they seem to provide the world with constant entertainment, voice actors.

Over the years, there have been many examples of very famous Hollywood stars in live-action voicing notable animated characters. Despite this, the vast majority of the most beloved animated characters in history have been voiced by people who can walk around in public without being recognized. For example, even though H. Jon Benjamin has voiced the main character of Archer for many years at this point, most people wouldn’t be able to pick him out from a crowd. On top of that, a lot of Archer fans aren’t aware of everything Benjamin has been up to since Archer made his TV debut.

H. Jon Benjamin had an incredible career

By the time Archer made his debut in 2009, H. Jon Benjamin had already built an impressive career. However, in the years that followed, Benjamin managed to be much more successful. After all, not only did Benjamin voice the show’s main character, Sterling Archer, for twelve seasons, but he also landed several other notable roles.

Since 2011, H. Jon Benjamin has starred in the popular Fox animated show, Bob’s Burgers. This is the great controversy of H. Jon Benjamin

Over the past few years, the debate about the so-called cancellation culture has become one of the hotly discussed topics online. In fact, even the biggest celebrities have weighed in on the cancellation culture debate. Of course, no matter what anyone thinks about canceling culture, it is quite clear that hardly anyone wants to be among those doing something that has pissed off the masses. Unfortunately for H. Jon Benjamin, he upset a lot of people in 2018.

Longtime comedian and actor H. Jon Benjamin has spent much of his life trying to make people laugh. Sadly, Benjamin completely missed the mark when he tried to make people laugh with a tweet in September 2018. Unsurprisingly, Benjamin’s tweet was deemed racist by most people for good reason. Unlike some stars who try to defend themselves once they screw up in public, Benjamin instantly and sincerely apologized in a short tweet.

“Sorry, I offended a lot of people. I agree this “joke” was lazy and incompetent and worded quickly while brewing a cup of oolong tea. The fact that this is a famous phrase in a movie does not allow me to shed light on the overarching stereotypes about Vietnamese and Asian Americans in general. I’m sorry I made this cup of tea. And thank you for making me realize this quickly.
