THE GREAT BABY SHARK MOVIE! Animated Feature Set To Release Holiday 2023 On Paramount+

Next year, follow Baby Shark and his family as they relocate to Chomp City in The Great Baby Shark Moviethe first-ever original animated feature film based on the hugely popular preschool property.

“Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo!”

In 2015, Pinkfong’s Baby Shark dance took the internet by storm, racking up over 10 billion views on YouTube and becoming every parent’s worst nightmare. Since its inception, the property has spread to almost every medium. There are toys, books, clothes, and the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated preschool series. But there hasn’t been a feature film…yet.

Next year that will change because Babe Shark’s Great Movie! debuts on Paramount+. The property’s first-ever original animated feature is set to premiere holiday 2023 in the United States.

Co-produced by Nickelodeon Animation and The Pinkfong Company, Babe Shark’s Great Movie! follows Baby Shark and his family as they move to Chomp City, the big city of sharks. The synopsis reads as follows:

In BABY SHARK’S GREAT MOVIE!, Baby Shark is forced to leave the world he loves after his family moves to the big city and must adjust to his new life without his best friend, William. When Baby Shark encounters an evil pop starfish named Stariana who plans to steal his gift of song in order to dominate all underwater music, he must break his spell to restore harmony to the seas.

The great Baby Shark movie! is directed by Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Award winner Alan Foreman (The Casagrandes, Welcome to the Wayne). It is produced by Nickelodeon Animation with production overseen by Nickelodeon Animation Executive Vice President Eryk Casemiro.

In the meantime, children can enjoy Baby Shark’s Big Show!, which launched globally in 2021 on Nickelodeon-branded channels and platforms. The show, which ranks as the No. 1 preschool series on all television in the United States for 2Q22, was recently picked up for a second series.

Presumably, the series’ voice actors will also reprise their roles for the animated film. The series features voice actors Kimiko Glenn (OIs the New Black range) as Baby Shark, Luke Youngblood (Harry Potter at the Sorcerer’s Stone) as William, Natasha Rothwell (Insecure) as Mommy Shark, Eric Edelstein (We bare bears) as Papa Shark, Debra Wilson (MADtv) as Grandma Shark, and Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld) as Grandpa Shark. The series is produced by Gary DiRaffaele (Breadwinners), Tommy Sica (Breadwinners) and Whitney Rall (My Little Pony: Equestria Girls). It is also produced by Nickelodeon Animation.

The great Baby Shark movie! will premiere on Paramount+ during Holiday 2023.
