NIKI Chyau Fwu Group (Parkview) has announced 10 other local Kyushu companies as partners in its bid to develop an IR facility in Sasebo town in Nagasaki.
The consortium includes a range of local businesses, including Ikeda Design, Clean Mat, Dual Key System, Fujioka, Nagasaki Security, Sakura, Kyushu Building Environment Center, Media Box, and Kasyu Kogyo.
Earlier this month, the NIKI Chyau Fwu Group (Parkview) confirmed three local Japanese construction companies – Hazama Ando Corporation, Osaka-based Okumura Corporation and Tanigawa Kensetsu – as its initial partners.
“The Kyushu / Nagasaki IR complex that the NIKI Chyau Fwu Group (Parkview) plans to develop will not only develop the tourism industry, but also provide great opportunities for local SMEs,” the company said.
“In addition, experts with various specializations will be trained and hired in unprecedented numbers, which will have other impacts such as an increase in the local youth population. The project will promote business development and the revitalization of the region and we expect there will be a significant economic ripple effect.
The NIKI Chyau Fwu Group (Parkview) is made up of THE NIKI, operator of the Niki Club, to provide hospitality services, and Chyau Fwu, a conglomerate with its roots in construction and development, founded in Taiwan in the years 1950. He aims for regional revitalization in Japan through the realization of his Kyushu / Nagasaki IR which he envisioned as a super intelligent community in Omura Bay fully utilizing advanced technology.
All three applicants are due to make a presentation in August and the final shortlist results will be announced later this month based on the current schedule.
