Kohli is joined by fellow defending champion West Indies captain Pollard as well as Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and Rashid Khan of Afghanistan.

The animation features a brand new broadcast technology that mixes 3D and 2D effects to create the movie.

A total of 16 countries, featuring the biggest names in sport and the best teams, will take part in the biggest event in sport since the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There is something magical and special about putting on the West Indies jersey and stepping onto the pitch,” said Pollard.

The tournament opener takes place on October 17 as Oman takes on the debutants of the Papua New Guinea Men’s T20 World Cup at Oman Cricket Academy in Muscat.
