LOS ANGELES (KSEE / KGPE) – In a tweet Thursday, Illumination announced the voice cast for a movie based on the iconic Super Mario Bros. universe. from Nintendo.
Chris Pratt will voice everyone’s favorite plumber, Mario, while Anya Taylor-Joy will pose the chessboard to voice Peach.
Supporters will be Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco in Spike’s.
Additionally, Illumination promises cameos from Charles Martinet, the original voice of Mario, Luigi, and other characters from the Nintendo universe.
The film is set to hit theaters for the 2022 holiday season
