HBO Max unloads an impressive number of anime shows


We have more bad news for anime lovers today. HBO Max has announced that it’s removing more anime shows from its menu, per Deadline.com. This follows news that the streaming service is pulling its animated content before combining the service with Discover+ next week. It also laid off a number of employees as part of the merger.

Among the many beloved animated titles leaving HBO Max this week are:

  • Aquaman: King of Atlantis
  • The show not too late with Elmo
  • Close enough
  • The mushrooms
  • infinite train
  • Mao Mao Hero of the Pure Heart
  • OK KO! – Let’s be heroes
  • The Ollie & Moon Show
  • Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures
  • Sesame Street Specials
  • Gurgling
  • summer camp island
  • The show not too late with Elmo
  • The Rabbit on the Run – Special
  • Tig and Seek
  • uncle grandfather
  • Victor and Valentino
  • Dinosaurs Yabba Dabba

“As we strive to bring our catalogs of content together on one platform, we will be making changes to the content offering available on both HBO Max and Discovery+. This will include removing certain content from both platforms. “At the same time, we’re already starting to pull together our catalogs of content, like the launch of the new CNN Originals hub on Discovery+ and a curated collection of Magnolia Network content,” the company said.
