The team behind The foreigner and Safe reunite for their fourth Harlan Coben Netflix adaptation titled Stay close an adaptation of Coben’s No.1 New York Times bestselling novel of the same name. Here’s what we know so far.
Author Harlan Coben is no stranger to Netflix viewers as over the past few years they have had the opportunity to watch adaptations of his work such as The foreigner, Safe and The five.
Longtime collaborators Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee are executive producers of the new drama, Stay close, alongside creator Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst, who is once again the lead writer.
Harlan coben shared his enthusiasm to work again with the same team on another adaptation of his work:
âI’m so happy and excited to stay close (pun intended) with Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee – the same team that made The foreigner, Safe and The five. Netflix has been a wonderful home, and from what I’ve seen so far, Stay close will be our most gripping and gripping series yet. “

We also know the senior manager of Stay close: Daniel O’Hara. O’Hara has already worked on many productions including Doctor Who, Victoria, Brassique and that of Coben The foreigner and Safe. He will also be executive producer of the new limited series.
The new series will be produced by RED Company Production who also made the aforementioned adaptations of Harlan Coben. Sarah Doole, the new CEO of RED Production Company, added in a press release:

The three main avenues of Netflix Stay close are Giant pillow (The good fight, the good wife, Deadwater fell), James nesbitt (Bloody Sunday, the missing) and Richard Armitage (The Stranger, The Hobbit, Hannibal). They will play Megan, Broome and Ray respectively. They were first announced to join the cast by Netflix on October 28, 2020.

The Netflix adaptation of the film by Harlan Coben Stay close will be an eight-part limited series, that is, a single season consisting of eight one-hour episodes.
What is the state of production on Stay close?
According to Production Weekly issue 1234, Stay close went into production on February 15, 2021 in Manchester, UK. Filming lasted around six months and took place in Manchester and the general North West region of the UK. Star Richard Armitage apparently confirmed this in a February 18 tweet:

Netflix announced in October 2021 that the series was set to hit the world on New Years Eve (December 31, 2021) alongside some first photos and a poster for the series.
