“Grimsburg” was only recently announced (via Deadline), which means it’s still in the very early stages of production. This naturally means that there isn’t a ton of information about the series. By this Deadline article we can tell you that “Grimsburg” is created by newcomers Catlan McClelland and Matthew Schlissel. This is also the first series the duo have ever gotten the green light for, each receiving only a handful of minor credits in showbiz before Fox commissioned the series to “Grimsburg”.
Fox is clearly excited about the duo’s concept for “Grimsburg,” however, Michael Thorn, president of entertainment, said of the series: “As we continue to expand our animation brand beyond family comedies, Grimsburg takes a wildly funny, bizarre and inventive approach to the detective genre making it the perfect next-gen Fox comedy. ”
As for when animation fans will be able to see the next-gen Fox comedy on the network, an official release date has yet to be announced, and this Deadline article claims network bosses are considering “Grimsburg” for a first in 2023, so we have a bit of a wait ahead. As it stands, the show will almost certainly debut on a Sunday night alongside other Fox hits, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as the premiere date becomes official.
