This week we are checking Class Z, a graphic novel of YA superheroes, Color guard, a fantastic story about proudly waving your flag, and more.

Class Z: the beginning

Z Class is a YA superhero graphic novel.

Anjali is the new tenth grader at Hope Academy, and although she tries to keep her own secrets safe, it’s immediately obvious everyone is doing the same. Class Z is a YA superhero story that follows Anjali and her new team of overpowered kids in a ten-chapter color graphic novel, with an emphasis on celebrating diversity and teamwork.

Jalisco is the next in Phoenix Studios’ line of Latina superhero graphic novels, available in English and Spanish editions. With this latest entry, readers encounter the main character, Jalisco, a young girl whose mother inexplicably disappears. Even when the police don’t want to hear her, she turns to a gang of Adelitas and takes matters into their own hands. The book is now ready to print and readers can further preview the story on the campaign page.

The Color Guard # 2

Color guard returns with its second and last entry. This adventure story for all ages follows a young girl named Alyssa who is finally, after years of waiting, on guard of the high school colors. She is led to find a magic flag in her school’s bowls, and as a result encounters a Bannerman, and forced to carry her own flag against hordes of evil invaders if she hopes to save her city.

Darkboy and Adler # 1-3
